News Versus Entertainment - Who Cares?
Posted in Podcasts on April 18th, 2007
We do, not that it makes any difference. We talk about the major issues: why are news programs giving air time to the left and the right and thinking they have done THEIR jobs? What ever happened to the facts? Whatever happened to presenting current events that have greater global implications than what dress some starlet wore to the Oscars? Listen and tell us what you think.

Courtney says:
The media in this country has been providing infotainment since I can remember. I’m 28, not a milestone, but still quite number of years of this nonsense. I decided long ago to accept that this will not change and take the responsibility of informing myself. Americans are not going to get any vital information from typical news programs, you cannot rely on reporters to feed you because they won’t. The only way to change the norm is to accept it and stop the demand. There are a lot of alternative news sources available, people just have to be willing to find them. The problem is that too many people are afraid of independent thought and straying from the herd, period.
Thanks! I’m in Austin, TX and the news here is a joke just like everywhere else. We do have Alex Jones, though. He can come off as a tad abrasive, but he’s a fountain of reliable information.
