Lame Holidays

Three in a row, Columbus Day, National Grouch Day and Boss’s Day, and that’s just in the last two weeks. Don’t get us started. We rail against the machine and suggest a First Nations Day replace Columbus Day for once and for all. And Boss’s Day? Step back, Hallmark, we’re tired of the manufactured feelings.

    In Australia we have holidays for horce races…each state has its own statewide holiday for it’s own race but the whole country nearly shuts down for the Melbourne Cup…which is coming up in a few weeks

    I’ve always found it a bit strange we have day called Labor Day and to celebrate we have a holiday (thereby doing no labor)
