Morning Show Mush - Breakfast in America?
by Susie Watson on August 30th, 2005
Inspired by Ken Auletta’s New Yorker article on morning shows like
Today and Good Morning America, Susie and Barb rant (no raves) about
this disgusting waste of television time now offering the same
content as rags like The National Enquirer. Helping to dumb down
Americans, these shows feed viewers pap masquerading as news and
atrophy any brains they had left.
Technology - Does it Simplify Life?
by Susie Watson on August 23rd, 2005
Some feel technology makes life more complicated. Conversely, early
adopters embrace everything new, even if it means watching streaming
video on a tiny cell phone screen. Barb and guest host Henry Godbout
ponder the question and encourage you to comment on how technology
impacts your life. The first 10 listeners to respond before 8/23/05
will receive a pinky ring that doubles as a global positioning system
(GPS) and digital camera.
Credibility - Who Has It?
by Susie Watson on August 17th, 2005
Education and experience, or motivation and affinity - who has more
credibility? And what about celebrities and musicians designing
clothes, becoming governators, and don’t forget Heidi Fleiss
lingerie. On the upside, Angelina Jolie wins a humanitarian award in
Cambodia, and other actors support myriads of causes. Got a problem
with their creds? Who do we believe, anyway? Add your comment below.
Face Time - Gone For Good?
by Susie Watson on August 9th, 2005
With technology that allows us to communicate without ever seeing
each other, what will happen to our culture as a result? Email, chat
rooms, instant messaging, phone mail, internet, and fax make face-to-
face and even voice-to-voice contact unnecessary. Barb celebrates the
positives, Susie mourns the negatives of losing face time in our
daily interactions.

by Susie Watson on August 2nd, 2005
WARNING! DO NOT LISTEN IF YOU HAVEN”T FINISHED THE RECENT BOOK AND
INTEND TO - THE ENDING WILL BE DISCUSSED. Guests are Susie’s sister
from Germany and Barb’s daughter, both avid fans - Susie hasn’t read
and doesn’t get it, Barb has just started - what’s the big deal? You
tell us why the grownups are interested. Comment below.
