In Memoriam - The Nut Lady: Elizabeth Tashjian
by Barb & Susie on January 30th, 2007
A true original died Sunday night at the age of 95. Susie tells Barb about the fascinating experience of getting to know the Nut Lady, Elizabeth Tashjian, in the late 90’s, during the last years of the existence of her Nut Museum. Susie dubs her the “Georgia O’Keefe” of nuts and one of the most interesting people she ever met. You will be remembered Elizabeth. The March of the Nuts is On!

by Susie Watson on January 23rd, 2007
Even normal people can get amazingly angry, as evidenced by the annual increase in road rage and other manifestations of madness. Barb and Susie talk about this trend in all its demographic glory, as well as in the context of pop culture. What totally ticks you off?

TV - Suspend Belief
by Susie Watson on January 16th, 2007
We love to talk about TV and all the goofy storylines and details. Unending sex between everyone, beautiful forensics experts and FBI agents, amiable liberal juries, doctors and lawyers who never fail/lose, female and ethnic presidents are just a few of the topics Barb and Susie cover this time. Is TV unbelievable? Absolutely. Boring? Sometimes. Comments? We hope so.
School Curriculum - From Irritating to Irrelevant
by Susie Watson on January 10th, 2007
Now that they are adults, Susie and Barb decide that everything they needed to know, they did NOT learn in kindergarten, or for that matter, even by the end of high school. So Barb shares the course work for Barbara’s Academy and Susie lays out her Fantasy High School curriculum, where you learn what you really need in today’s world. (Hint, algebra and geometry NOT required!)

Celebrating the New Year
by Susie Watson on January 3rd, 2007
There is more than one way, so Barb and Susie look at the options, past and present. For a 4000 year old holiday, this one definitely knows how to party. The commercial aspect gets bigger every year, too, with networks and corporations vying for attention. Sadly, it is most well known as an opportunity to drink yourself into Bolivia… er, I mean oblivion.
