Academy Awards – Highs and Lows
by Susie Watson on February 27th, 2007
For 79 years, the Academy Awards have celebrated the best of the best in the movie business. So why can’t the actors read off a teleprompter or memorize a 30 second speech? Other than that, Barb and Susie enjoyed the show and dish about it after the fact, including everything from fashions to flubs.

by Susie Watson on February 20th, 2007
MySpace, FaceBook, LiveJournal, Xanga, and every other version of social networking has changed the younger generation in a way that hasn’t been seen since Rock & Roll split parents from their kids in the 50’s and 60’s.  Susie and Barb refer to New York Magazine’s cover story by Emily Nussbaum on the death of privacy that is embraced by the young and feared by some of the old. Will you/they some day regret laying it all out for the world to see? The music world may be changing, but you can count on the grammys to be about fashion, celebrities, and bad script writing. Barb and Susie watch and then wag over everything from old men matched with pretty young things, to who the target market really is for this annual show that turns a middle-aged 50 next year.

Super Bowl Commercials - Not So Super
by Susie Watson on February 6th, 2007
If the commercials running on the Super Bowl at $2.6 million per 30 second spot are any indication of the state of television advertising in America, we are in a sorry creative situation. Never was so much money spent on so little of interest. Sure there were a few decent efforts, but nothing like the days of yore. Susie and Barb examine the results. Regardless, Prince rocked!
