Pop Goes the Culture Newsletter — June 2024

After taking off the month of May to both catch up on a backlog of convention celebrity guest clips and to plan out the rest of 2024, we’re back with brand new episodes of the Pop Goes the Culture podcast. Additionally, we’ve renewed our focus on our social media presence (with even more to come), videos on our YouTube channel, refreshing our online store, and more! More will be added as we move forward through 2024 and beyond, so be sure to subscribe to the podcast and follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and X @PGTCpodcast for all the latest.

The crew is kicking off the month of June in Birmingham, Alabama the weekend of June 1st & 2nd at Iron City Comic Con. This is the company’s first event in B-ham and the Pop Goes the Culture crew’s first event in B-ham, and we’ve got a huge show lined up. Again, be sure to follow us on social media for photos and behind the scenes video from the event. I’m sure you’ll get to hear all about our experience on the first episode back, and we’ll be pulling some Q&A audio for future episodes.

Later in the month we’re back down in Jackson, Mississippi for Mississippi Comic Con the weekend of June 22nd & 23rd. This is the 10 year anniversary of this event, and it’s the biggest one yet. We’re going to be trying some new things (one of us is going to learn how to run the jumbotron!) and having a blast like we always do when we head down to Jackson. The last time we were here, Dusty and I talked about swinging on over to New Orleans for dinner, but we were too busy to do so. I’m sure this weekend will be even busier, and I know it’ll be WAY too hot and WAY too humid to swing down to the Big Easy on this trip, but there’s always next time next spring.

If you haven’t done so already, be sure to check out the Pop Goes the Culture online store. Our summer designs and summer styles have returned for a limited time. Grab your PGtC Summer Sun, PGtC PRIDE, and PGtC Patriotic gear today!
