DO Watch This Game Show Called ‘DON’T’

Ryan Reynolds is many things. An actor, superhero, gin salesman. Adam Scott is also many things. An actor, producer, podcaster, and now both men play major roles in the new ABC family game show Don’t.

Starring Scott as host and Reynolds as the voice-only “Don’t Master,” Don’t sees one family team of four play five games where if they don’t do a certain thing, they win money.

Some of the challenges are straightforwardly titled, “Don’t Drink” and “Don’t Blink” as seen in the premiere episode. Others are more tongue-in-cheek like “Don’t Get Tired” where each team member takes turns standing in front of one of four large faux car tires.

Each tire is tied to an answer to a multiple-choice question. If the other three team members choose the right answer, the player standing on the selected answer will not get hit by the tire. If they are wrong, you guessed it, down they go. Each correct answer earns them money.

As the “Don’t Master,” Reynolds quips and narrates the show throughout, not doing any play-by-play, just making jokes and whatnot as Reynolds has become known to do. Scott plays a pretty good straight man as host compared to the insanity that is going on around him.

If you’re looking for some harmless, zany summer fare, Don’t airs every Thursday at 9:00 PM ET/8:00 PM CT on ABC and streaming the next day on ABC.com, the ABC App and Hulu.
