Funko Friday: Help Scrooge Find His Holiday Groove With ‘Disney Mickey’s Christmas Carol’

Of all the adaptations of Dickens’s A Christmas Carol, one of the most beloved is Disney’s animated Mickey’s Christmas Carol from 1983. Now, tabletop gamers can participate in retelling the story with Disney Mickey’s Christmas Carol Game. The cooperative game is designed for 2-4 players ages 4 and up. Average gameplay lasts around 20 minutes.

The object of the game is to complete four puzzles based on animation cells from the Disney film. One at a time, players draw puzzle pieces from the bag, hoping to draw puzzle pieces to complete the scenes. However, special tiles in the bag move Scrooge up the clock, shortening the night. Players work together to complete all four puzzles before the clock runs out and Christmas morning dawns.

Included in the box are 6 Puzzle Frames, 43 Tiles, Bag, Clock Board, Scrooge Mover with base, and the Instructions.

The game couldn’t be simpler to play. Parents working together with kids makes this a great entry into tabletop gaming. The artwork on all of the game pieces is beautiful and really captures the look and feel of the film. Once kids are comfortable with the mechanics, they can work with new players to play the game, building their confidence and helping them learn how to explain games to their peers.
