Jason Voorhees Cookie Shakes

This year, Friday the 13th is smack-dab in the middle of spooky season! Make this Jason themed desert to celebrate!

For the cookies:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Cream together the butter and sugar.
  • Add in vanilla and egg. Mix until combined.
  • Add flour and baking powder to the bowl. Mix slowly at first gradually getting faster until the dough comes together.
  • Turn out onto a floured surface. Use a rolling pin and roll until about 1/4 inch thick.
  • You can either use a cookie cutter, or hand cut the mask shapes. I used a Halloween sugar skill cookie cutter to get the Jason mask shape. Transfer the cookies to a parchment lined cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350° for 6-8 minutes.

For the icing:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • pinch of salt

Instructions:

  • Add all ingredients into a large bowl and mix with a hand mixer until throughly combined. Add powdered sugar if needed for desired thickness.
  • Fully frost each cookie with icing.
  • Using a tube of each black and red gel icing, create the mask pattern on each cookie. Use this photo as a guide.

    • Allow icing to harden before serving.

For the milkshakes

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream,
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • frozen sliced strawberries in sugar (thawed)

Instructions:

  • Combine ice cream, milk, and vanilla in blender and blend until smooth.
  • Pour into glasses and top with strawberries.
  • Add one of your spooky cookies on top and enjoy!
