Pop Culture Kitchen: Disney Polynesian Nachos

One of the best things about Disney Parks is their food, so it’s no wonder that there are tons of Disney Copycat recipes! In following our Moana theme this week, I decided to recreate a lesser known Disney parks delicacy, Captain Cook’s Polynesian Nachos!

Ingredients:

  • kettle-style original flavor potato chips
  • wonton strips
  • shredded triple cheddar cheese blend
  • white queso dip
  • pulled pork in Teriyaki sauce (fully cooked)
  • tomatoes, chopped
  • pineapple, chopped
  • red onion, chopped
  • extra Teriyaki sauce

Instructions:

  1. Put your potato chips and wonton strips together on a plate if cooking in the microwave or on a baking sheet if cooking in the oven.
  2. Top with shredded cheese, melted queso, and pulled pork.
  3. Melt for 30 seconds in the microwave or 5-7 minutes in the oven at 350°.
  4. Top with tomatoes, pineapple, and red onion.
  5. Drizzle with extra teriyaki sauce and enjoy!

Nachos made from potato chips might have you feeling a little unsure but I am certain that once you try this recipe, it will be your new favorite snack!

Side note: I didn’t put ingredient measurement amounts because, put however much you like! It’s yours!
