Mulan comes to Disney+ on September 4th! These Chinese paper lanterns are a simple and super cute craft to kick off your family’s Mulan viewing party!
You will need:
- construction paper
- scissors
- pencil
- double sided tape
- glitter glue, paint, gems, or other decorative items.
Instructions:

- Cut a 1/2” strip off of the short side of your paper.
- Fold your paper in half, then using your extra strip as a guide draw one long 1/2” horizontal line across the top, and many 1/2” lines vertically down leaving the space on top empty.
- Next, cut along all of your vertical lines.
- Open your paper and attach the two top corners together with double sided tape. Do the same with the two bottom corners.
- Cut a 1/2” strip off of the short side of your paper.
5. Last, use your extra strip of paper to attach a handle. Now the kids can decorate them however they like!
